FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can find the answers to commonly asked questions.

This usually means the site isn’t authorized yet.

  • Go to Revamp UI → License.

  • Click Manage Sites, add your domain in your Revamp UI account.

  • Back in WordPress, click Check License.
Once the license shows ✅ Authorized, the UI will refresh.

Also confirm you’re logged in as an Administrator, since other roles won’t see the new UI until it’s enabled.

A few common reasons:

  • The domain must match exactly (with/without www). Use the one shown on the License page.

  • Results are cached for ~15 minutes. Use the Check License button to force a refresh.

  • Your site must be able to reach revampui.com over HTTPS. If your host blocks outbound requests, licensing will fail.

  • Ensure your license has available site slots. If not, free one or upgrade.

If none of these help, contact Revamp UI support with your domain and license details.

Updates appear in the normal Plugins page once available.

  • Click Update now as with any plugin.

  • If you don’t see an update, try clicking the “Check for Updates” link on the plugins page.
  • If an update doesn’t show, download the latest ZIP from your account and replace the plugin manually.
Your preferences are stored in the database and will not be lost.

Yes. Revamp UI is per-user:

  • Each user can toggle to Standard UI via the sidebar button.

  • Or they can set their preference in Users → Profile → Menu Style.
This allows teams to mix and match — power users can try the new UI while others stick to what they know.

  • First, toggle back to Standard UI for that user — the problem will vanish.

  • Report the issue to Revamp UI support (include plugin name, WP version, and screenshot).

  • Updates often fix compatibility quirks quickly.

No. The plugin only loads in the WordPress admin.
On performance: the footprint is ~220 KB, adding about 0.009 seconds per admin page load. That’s negligible compared to most plugins.

Go to Users → Your Profile and click Reset Item Order.
This clears your personal arrangement and restores the default grouping provided by Revamp UI.

In Revamp UI → License, click Export Preferences. This downloads a JSON file.
Another user can Import that file in their License page, and their menu will match yours.
This is especially handy for rolling out a standard layout to clients.

Deactivating or deleting Revamp UI restores the normal WordPress admin instantly.
The only traces left are harmless user meta (menu order, UI preference) and a cached transient for license status. These don’t affect your site.
